Para nadie es una sorpresa que amo a mi gato más que a mi madre. Ni siquiera para mi madre. Pues esta vez tuve que llevar a mi chiquito hermoso al veterinario porque el muy macho se agarró a madrazos con otro gato – o con un perro, o con un mapache, o con una ardilla, o con un venado, o con un sin fin de opciones porque vivo en un bosque con más animales que Narnia. Ni hablar, para no perder la costumbre me tocó a mí llevarlo al doctor para que lo revisaran.
Ni bien llegamos, mi príncipe mutiló a tres de los veterinarios y decapitó a los dos restantes. Bueno, no tan así, pero corrió sangre (y orines) por toda la mesa de operaciones.
Después de mucho show, bufidos de mi chipitín, gritos de los veterinarios, lágrimas mías (porque el único pussy en esa habitación era yo, no el gato) y demás, al fin lograron domar a mi tigrito. Luego de esperar en la sala por horas en una escena digna de Grey’s Anatomy (cuando era bueno), por fin recibí el parte médico del veterinario. Todo bien, al parecer.
Voy muy contento con mi fierecilla dormida en su jaula listo para pagar los millones de dólares que su vida vale y me topo con el dueño de la veterinaria.
¡Carajo! De haber sabido que me iba a encontrar a un hombre tan agradable a la vista, me hubiera arreglado un poco. ¡De menos hubiera tratado con más ahínco de evitar que me orinara el gato, mínimo!
Siendo un muchachito tan bien educado – o golfo – por supuesto que me quedé a hacerle plática unos minutos. Claramente le pedí su teléfono y así, por aquello de alguna emergencia, tipo. Ya sin más tema de conversación decidí despedirme con una de mis frases selectas:
